I love Nike’s branding line, “Just do it.”
There are advantages to creating an organizing routine in your schedule, or waiting for a free afternoon to tackle a project. But if something in your space becomes annoying, and it will take 10 minutes or less to resolve it – just do it.
I once opened a towel closet and towels came falling over my head. I was already planning to redo the closet, and could have just stuffed the towels back in until I was ready to start the project but they’d have fallen out again on the next person who opened the door.
I didn’t have time to fix the whole closet right at that moment. But I didn’t need to. In just under 10 minutes, there were no more falling down towels.

If an issue can be resolved quickly, fix it as soon as it annoys you.
I can’t wait to get started!
