What about kitchen gadgets?

William Grimes wrote in the New York Times about an overabundance of kitchen gadgets.

The article is full of great quotes from food professionals, who admit to being guilty of owning kitchen gadgets that they never use, have to get rid of or wish they hadn’t bought in the first place–just like us amateur cooks. Some of the “useless” gadgets are obscure devices for specific tasks, like butter slicer, but others are tools that most people think of as sensible investment, like a food processor. The only thing all the gadgets have in common is that the cooks who bought them rarely use them.

Do you have a story about letting go of a kitchen gadget that you just don’t use? Write in and let me know!

I wish my friends and clients happy Passover and Easter holidays.

  1. I received an epergne as a wedding present. It sat in my mother-in-law’s basement until my sister-in-law and I hired an organizer to get rid of everything. Even she didn’t know what to do with it.
