Are coffee tables necessary? Depends on how you use one in the space. A coffee table can be great for surface to play games on, holding party food, or kids doing homework. It doesn’t necessarily have to take up a lot of space or be in the middle of the room. If it only serves the purpose of getting piled on, maybe it’s time to move it elsewhere or get rid of it. The less surface available, the less tempting it is to drop items and walk away. Put your favorite plants, art decor, book or nothing on surfaces.
